Caeso Wake is the Olive City Ranger Captain. He is often busy and handles most things himself efficiently. He is the older brother of Marina Wake.
Appearance & Personality
Caeso sports short, blue hair with the sides closely trimmed, giving him a neat, polished look. He maintains a clean-shaven face and a fit physique. Remarkably, Caeso's attire remains immaculate, even after intense action or physical tasks.
In Olive City, Caeso manages most responsibilities single-handedly, though he belongs to a large organization. Known for his exceptional efficiency, Caeso often takes on more than he can handle, meticulously streamlining even routine activities like sleeping and eating to maximize his productivity.
Backstory
As a child, Caeso was given the responsibility of watching over his younger sister, Marina, during a beach outing. While he took a moment to relax, Marina drifted into the sea, nearly lost to the ocean. Though she was eventually rescued, the incident left Caeso deeply traumatized, instilling in him a lasting fear of ever letting his guard down.
Determined to avoid such mishaps, Caeso strives for efficiency and competence in all he does. If he encounters something he's not skilled at, he practices in secret until he masters it, only disregarding skills he deems unimportant. His protectiveness over Marina eventually strained their relationship, causing them to drift apart.
As he matured, Caeso became a highly capable Taming Master, dedicating himself to the well-being of Olive City. When Byron and Ruby established the Rangers, Caeso was entrusted to lead the Olive City branch due to his reliability and strong sense of responsibility.
Caeso's commitment to Olive City is unwavering, and he works tirelessly to ensure it remains self-sufficient, minimizing the need for support from other Ranger branches. As part of his role, he watches over Nami, one of the four guardians. However, his vigilant oversight can be overbearing, at times infringing on her privacy and making it difficult for her to form close relationships.
Relationships
- Marina Wake: Caeso feels Marina is unappreciative of all he does, while Marina feels Caeso can often help with things she didn't want help on. He wishes to have a better relationship with her though.
- Ruby Raven: Ruby respects Caeso's ability and efficiency, though wishes he was okay with letting others help.
- Byron Belrose: Byron enjoys Caeso's presence, and the two joke with each other. Caeso enjoys doing acts of strength with Byron and Byron enjoys playing along with him.
- Nami Lewis: Nami appreciates Byron's actions as a Ranger but secretly dislikes his overbearingness to her. If not for her position, she wouldn't work with him. Unfortunately, Caeso sees Nami as a younger sister.
- Platysave: Platysave was Caeso's first Kaimon. Similar to him, his trustworthy Platysave must be competent. The Platysave also is a little dramatic, but in a way that Caeso deems proof of its competency.
