Capture Energy is the mystical force that allows humans, specifically Tamers, to bond with Kaimon. This unique energy comes directly from a Tamer's soul but does not harm the individual. Capture Energy manifests through special techniques that facilitate capturing and linking with Kaimon, forming a deep bond that unites Tamer and Kaimon.

Origin and Nature

Capture Energy is an intrinsic part of humanity, a hidden legacy left by the Kai when they created humans. The Kai designed humans to bond with as many beings as possible, and Capture Energy serves as the mechanism for this connection. When a Tamer crushes a Capture Sphere, they unlock this energy, which can then be shaped into various techniques to bond with Kaimon. However, some exceptionally rare Tamers possess the ability to manifest Capture Energy without needing Capture Spheres.

Bonding Process

Once manifested, Capture Energy bonds with the Kaimon it touches. However, this bond is not forced—if a Kaimon dislikes the Tamer's energy or "vibe," it will reject the bond and break free from the Capture Energy. This rejection is a sign that the Tamer has not yet impressed or earned the Kaimon's trust.

Tamers are not limited by any cooldowns or restraints when it comes to using Capture Energy, though they can only control one form of Capture Energy at a time. The bond forged by this energy forms a link between the Tamer's soul and the Kaimon, allowing them to call upon their bonded Kaimon at will or release them back into the wild if they choose.

Capture Energy's Strength

The strength of a Tamer's Capture Energy is influenced by two key factors: their experience and the quality of the Capture Spheres they use. As Tamers grow more proficient, their energy becomes stronger and more refined. Higher-quality Capture Spheres allow for the manifestation of purer, more powerful forms of Capture Energy, whereas basic spheres result in a muddier aura that may be less effective.

Some Tamers develop Capture Techniques to enhance their capturing abilities. For example, certain techniques may be specifically tailored to capture particular species or elemental types of Kaimon, making them invaluable in the Taming profession.

Capture Techniques

Capture Techniques are unique methods Tamers use to shape and control their Capture Energy. These techniques can take on many forms, from energy spheres to tornadoes or giant hands of energy that physically grab the Kaimon. Tamers often model their Capture Techniques after the Kaimon they bond with, mimicking their abilities and elements.

Capture Energy has no effect on other humans, though Demi-Human may experience discomfort or minor pain when exposed to it. In the domain of Norvent, Capture Techniques are used as a way to test a Tamer's strength, as Tamers there pride themselves on matching the power of their Kaimon. It's used partially in trials of combat as there are more demis in Norvent.

Tamers can learn and teach Capture Techniques to one another, fostering a culture of shared knowledge within the Taming community. Some of these techniques are ancient and rare, requiring deep knowledge and skill to master.
